This installation is composed of small, handbuilt ceramic chairs arranged in concentric circles, each facing outward rather than toward a shared center. The chairs act as stand-ins for absent bodies, suggesting a communal ritual shaped by solitude, memory, and individual perspective. Through repetition and subtle variation, the work reflects on the tension between collective connection and private experience.

This work reflects on the contradiction between the values taught to youth and the norms upheld in adult society. The meaning of being a ‘Boy Scout’ shifts dramatically over time. Principles once admired in childhood are later surrendered, judged as naive and mocked in adulthood.
