A magical, dreaming space in the forest created by a 5 ft crocheted well-like form hanging above a circular mirror with rocks and surrounded by 8 woven portals hung from trees. Viewers can sit, dream, and write their wishes on tags that can be hung from the surrounding trees.

Volunteer Forest, 2025

Composed of 74 saplings harvested from a small urban garden, “Volunteer Forest” explores the generousity of nature. Every spring, we witness the profuse regeneration of plant life. Trees produce a massive outpouring of seeds which grow into volunteer saplings. Here these saplings form a “Volunteer Forest” prompting us to think about ideas of “wild” and the natural world’s resilience.
