Composed of 74 saplings harvested from a small urban garden, “Volunteer Forest” explores the generousity of nature. Every spring, we witness the profuse regeneration of plant life. Trees produce a massive outpouring of seeds which grow into volunteer saplings. Here these saplings form a “Volunteer Forest” prompting us to think about ideas of “wild” and the natural world’s resilience.
