Silent Cows, 2026
soil, clay, straw and acrylic paint
3 pieces
variable dimensions
$300 (Price upon Request)
This sculpture was created with clay, sand, and straw. Layered on top are acrylic paintings inspired by depictions of cows present in folktales.
Closely inspired by thoughts of non-violence that surrounded my education in India, this work brings to view the stark contrast between tranquil and pastoral scenes of cows so present in European art history and the contemporary treatment of these animals today.

Inspired by billboard signage, this installation questions the role of landscape painting and its representation. Playing with the layered interaction between painted scenes and the actual environment visible through the screen, these pieces ask « Where is the boundary between nature and object, between constructed space and the natural world?
