“Monstrous Faith” is an invitation to consider the place of religion in our lives and yards. Through references to both the pastoral country church and its foundational horror, the artwork creates a miniature of the problematics of religious engagement.

Representing those who take on the often thankless and poorly remunerated labor of love that art curating can be, we have memorialized some of our favorite people as giant piñata heads for this summer extravaganza. Both a metaphor for fragility and fun, the piñata embodies both the fear of living and the hope of celebration.
