I am interested in interconnected forms of transcendence—health, enlightenment, and immortality. In the face of an insufficient self, I want an easy fix, a product, a pill, a salve, or a perfected version of myself delivered to my door which I consume or which consumes me. Replication is both technical and conceptual; I cast, alter, replicate, and recombine my own body, producing figures with varying fidelity to an original.
