Sit-In Painting, 2026

marine plywood, cedar, foam, acrylic paint, UVLS varnish

dimensions with frame 9′ high x 11′ wide x 7′ deep

$7,000

“Sit-In painting” is an interactive sculpture painting where viewers can step up into the painting and sit on the tree trunks, and enjoy the painting from the inside. The painted subject is a place I would bike to as a kid called Forest Lake, and specifically the moment of getting close enough where you could see the water and shimmering sky reflected through the dense forest trees.

Inner Forest, 2025

wood frame (cedar and Marine plywood), sun tunnel, polystyrene/rigid foam, solar panel light, acrylic paint, UVLS varnish

$5,500

“Inner Forest” is an playful paradox of a forest within a tree, and seeing them simultaneously. The work is intuitively derived, with major notions about tree socialization, inner tranquility, dormant power, and juxtaposing forces within, such as mortality and rebirth.
